Artist's Bio
Duck hunting brought Bob into the carving world. his first carving of a mallard drake was the beginning of a rewarding avocation and a different and relaxing experience from his heavy travel schedule as and executive in the corporate world.
Self taught ar first via articles, books, photos and taxidermy mounts, Bob realized that he wished to go to levels beyond waterfowl and expand his expertise. So, he sought out and attended many seminars and workshops conducted by the most renowned carving artists of the time -- Erinie Muehlmatt, Bob Guge, Keith Mueller, Roz Daisey and others.
The result of over twenty years of experience and tutoring brought him from beginner to master class in competition. A winner of many awards his sculptures speak for themselves.
Bob has been President of the Caloosa Carvers Club of Ft. Myers, FL for four years. A club composed of over 100 members from many States and Canada. He is currently Vice President of the S.W, Florida Woodcarving Exposition held every January in Ft. Myers. The Expo is one of the largest and finest in the country. |
